Well said senorita. To be frank, I don't know what to say. Is it because we have become so dumb and devoid of entertainment that we will lap up any crap that will be served to us. Or is it because the Producers/Publishers/Writers have become too thick in the head and have decided to take the easy route, knowing that whatever they make, will sell anyway.
I know a few people who have read The Twilight series and C-Bag and thats it...they have never laid hands on any other book and they can't stop gushing over the aforementioned classics.
Anyway....before this comment starts resembling a post and my hate for Beiber and reality shows takes over my good sense, I think I should wrap this up here.

But then the thing with 'stars' like C-Bag is that they fade out of public memory soon enough, sometimes the fickle public memory is actually a cause for joy.

As for hating, it is, like all other fads, a passing phase where it is the next cool thing. And eventually we'll phase out as well.

You're kidding me, right? People now think Chetan Bhagat is so good that those other writers who crop up every now and then are the bomb. And to top it off, these people become national bestsellers. :O
I wish people would read real books so we could have something smart to discuss with them. But no, they would prefer that we indignantly hate them and wonder when they would learn. I miss Malgudi Days. Awesome show.

Developing a dislike for something/someone is purely based upon personal hypothesis but wannabe's follow the flow. Sigh! Un-opinionated idiots.

Yeah you are right in what you write. I agree, hatred is in fashion today, it sells well on social networking sites to gain followers/publicity to many people there. But again, as you said, hatred is also genuine most of the times (always in my case *not bragging* :P ), We as customers or audience seek the best and obviously don't have enough hearts to accept something crappy as a standard of excellence, like Chetan Bhagat's writing or Shahrukh's acting skill. And it sucks even more when there are pestering fan wagons on twitter/fb who start annoying you the moment you express your genuine dislike.
